This is key to building a more developed system and a society that prioritizes the human over the economic. The central point is to separate human dignity from productivity. Today, a person’s value is too closely tied to what they produce in economic terms. If you do not produce, the system tends to consider you less useful. This logic has become normalized, but it has deep consequences in how we treat people.
This approach places a vulnerable burden on the sick, the elderly, people with disabilities, sensitive individuals, creative people, or simply those who are exhausted. All of them fall outside the value equation. A more mature civilization should not operate this way. Human dignity should be a baseline value, independent of profitability. Existing should be enough.
