The Mortality Rate Is Still 100%

We are all going to die. It does not matter how much medicine advances, how much money we have, how many years we manage to add to our lives, or how many health apps we have on our phones. The mortality rate is still 100%. So far, nobody has managed to beat this statistic. And the funny thing is that we have known this since the day we were born, yet we live as if we had an indefinite contract with life.

Perhaps that is why we should take it with a little more humour. We worry about work, our neighbours, what other people think of us, or things that we probably will not even remember in a few years. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking for everyone equally. We do not know when our turn will come, but we do know what the final outcome will be. So, within reason, perhaps we should live a little more and worry a little less. After all, the statistics leave no room for doubt.
