You Can Do Anything You Want. You Only Have to Face the Consequences.

You can do anything you want. You can leave your job, move to another country, end a relationship, start again, change your mind or simply choose a life that looks nothing like the one you had planned. There are fewer things in life that are truly impossible than we like to believe. What usually stops us is not the choice itself, but the consequences that come with it. Every decision closes some doors, changes some relationships and creates problems that did not exist before.

Freedom is not being able to do whatever you want without consequences. Freedom is knowing that you can choose, and being willing to accept what follows. Sometimes the price is money, sometimes security, sometimes other people’s approval. Sometimes the consequence is simply having to live with the possibility that you were wrong. That is the uncomfortable part of being free. You can do almost anything you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.
