Life Devours Sensitive People

Being sensitive in a world that prioritizes efficiency, competition, and appearances is a risk. Not because feeling is wrong, but because there’s no room for those who don’t adapt quickly or who can’t hide what they feel. Sensitive people end up working twice as hard to fit in and are still seen as weak. In many environments, showing empathy or vulnerability is a reason for exclusion or mockery.

Society isn’t built to care for them but to demand from them. And when they break, when they can’t go on, there’s no real safety net to catch them. They’re expected to keep functioning, to stay quiet, to not make anyone uncomfortable. Sensitivity becomes a burden instead of a value. It’s not that these people fail, it’s that the system was never made for them.
