There are a thousand ways to communicate without interrupting anyone. Sending a message, an email, a WhatsApp, or even an audio allows the other person to receive it and respond when they can. But no, some people still prefer to call, as if everyone should stop what they’re doing to attend to something that could perfectly be handled with a message. The call disrupts without context, consent, or respect for the other person’s time.
In the work environment, it’s even worse. When someone doesn’t want to leave a record of what they say or request, there’s a reason. I prefer everything in writing, clear, reviewable. Calls get lost, misinterpreted, or forgotten. If the matter is serious, let it be written. If it’s not, there was no need to call.
