Remembering Doesn’t Always Help

Remembering makes sense when it helps you learn or understand something better. There are memories that show you why you act the way you do or give you clarity about what you want to do now. But often remembering is just reliving what no longer exists. What happened cannot be changed. You can understand it, but not redo it. And if what you remember doesn’t help you improve your present, it becomes a weight.

The problem with remembering is that you can get stuck repeating the same thing over and over without getting anywhere. Memory has value if it moves you forward, not if it holds you back. Remembering should be like looking at a map to find your way, not to stare at the same spot forever. Because in the end, the only thing you can change is what you do now.
