Don’t Resist Anything

What comes, comes. Resisting it only drains you more. If you feel anger, sadness or fear, the best thing you can do is let it be. Not to dwell on it, but to avoid adding an extra layer of conflict by trying to make it go away. Sometimes the discomfort is physical, sometimes mental, but fighting it doesn’t solve it. Letting it move through you without shutting the door is more effective than forcing yourself to feel okay.

Acceptance isn’t giving up. It’s not fighting what’s already happening. It’s not about settling, but about not wasting energy trying to stop the inevitable. From that calm, it’s easier to think, act and decide. Resistance is an automatic reaction, but you can stop feeding it. Just look at what’s there without judgment, without struggle, and move forward from there.
