Lies in Our Society

I wish we lived in a society where lying was impossible. Lies are present in every aspect of our lives, from the smallest to the biggest. We lie to each other, to ourselves, and we lie about who we really are or what we need. In daily interactions, lying seems like the easiest answer, but where has it really gotten us?

Lies only create distrust, distort reality, and cause problems where there were none. We convince ourselves that lying is necessary to protect ourselves or to maintain peace, but in the end, lies accumulate and affect us more than we realize. If we lived in a society where truth was the norm, relationships would be more honest and, probably, much healthier.
