Peace does not come when the mind goes blank or when uncomfortable thoughts disappear. The mind will keep producing ideas, memories, and judgments, even in calm moments. Waiting for all of that to stop in order to be at peace is an unrealistic goal. As long as you fight against what you think, you remain trapped in it.
Peace comes when you stop taking every thought as a personal truth. When you understand that what appears in your mind does not define who you are or your worth. You can coexist with unpleasant thoughts without letting them control your actions. At that point, even though the mind speaks, you are no longer at war with it.
