Seeing Without Anesthesia

The world is, to a large extent, a cesspool. Human history rests on domination, fear, and exploitation. Progress is just a layer of varnish over a rotten foundation: wars, inequality, consumption, and manipulation. Most people live to sustain a system that drains them, while a few benefit at everyone else’s expense.

They also sell you the idea that you have to “be happy,” “be grateful,” or “find your purpose.” It’s another trap to keep people calm and productive, blaming their attitude instead of the system. There’s no collective redemption. Humanity keeps destroying the planet, others, and itself. What remains, perhaps, is the clarity of seeing it without anesthesia. Seeing it this way isn’t pessimism. It’s simply not looking away. And still, fall in love, find your soulmate, make your life something beautiful even if everything around you is rotten. Because if anything can save you, it won’t be the system, it’ll be the truth shared with someone who also sees the world without lies.
