The world doesn’t run on love, it runs on utility. As long as you produce, serve, respond or fit in, there’s a place for you. But when you no longer can, when your usefulness fades, it’s like you become invisible. It’s not just governments or companies that do this, we all do. We stop seeing those who don’t offer something we need. We stop listening to those who no longer serve a function.

The idea that we matter simply for being human sounds good, but it’s not how the world actually works. Most people disappear from view when they get sick, grow old or simply don’t meet expectations. That should make us think. Because this isn’t just about how the system works, it’s about how we work too.
