Sometimes I think some people are not made for victory but for struggle. I relate to that idea because I have felt more alive in the moments when I had to fight for something than in the moments when I achieved it. In the struggle I discovered what I was made of, I learned, I grew, and I found motivation to keep going.
Victory, on the other hand, brought me comfort but also a kind of inner silence that dimmed my energy and my desire to move forward. Maybe that is why I prefer the path over the result, because that is where the intensity that keeps me alive is found.
