Sometimes it is not one specific person that drains us but the sum of everything we carry. There are days when energy slips away through many places children, friends, siblings, messages you do not expect, other people’s health problems, misunderstandings, your relationship that gives you a lot but also demands, and even yourself with your own memories and fears. It is normal to run out of strength and want nothing more than to stay in bed. I have lived it and I know what it means. That is why I learned to protect myself and keep distance when something creates anxiety in me. And that is why I support unconditionally anyone who goes through this because I know exactly what it is to be there.
Over time I understood that some people handle problems better because they know how to let things pass without getting trapped in them. I did not know how to do that and I ended up alone and isolated. Now I am sure that the key is balance. Relationships are valuable, but so is not giving more weight than necessary to what happens around us. Life becomes lighter when we stop fighting everything and start choosing what truly deserves our energy.
