When We Force the World to Fit

Contemporary society is trapped in the need to simplify everything. Faced with the limits of our knowledge and with what is invisible or unknown, we look for quick answers to reduce tension. We turn life into generic ideas and rigid categories that make us feel safe. The problem is that this safety is false. When we try to explain everything with closed frameworks, we stop seeing what is actually happening. We move away from reality just to calm ourselves, not to understand it.

This way of thinking feeds a very common fallacy. We adapt data to our hypotheses instead of letting the data challenge what we believe. We force the world to fit our conclusions. The only honest step is to accept what we do not know and leave room for the unexpected. Only then do we see things without filters. Only then do we stop manipulating reality to make it match our ideas.
